By joining SMS2BET Betting Services (Pty) Ltd, and each time you place a bet, you agree to be bound by SMS2BET Betting Services terms and conditions

SMS2BET Betting Services may make changes to the terms and conditions, as we consider appropriate. Clients should therefore review the terms and conditions regularly to stay informed of any changes we may make.

  1. The minimum stake per transaction is R10.00
  2. As from 1st July 2008 all winning transactions on sports will no longer be subject to any government 6% 'tax' deductions.
  3. Transactions may only be made in South African Rands (ZAR)
  4. You must be 18 years or older to use an SMS2BET Betting Services online betting account. Proof of identity, age and residency will be required prior to settling any account.
  5. In order to ensure that we are in a financial position to make payment of our betting obligations, we have lodged financial guarantees with the Western Cape Gambling Board.
  6. All bets accepted by SMS2BET Betting Services are subject to our rules and terms and conditions
  7. All bets must be made at the SMS2BET Betting Services website. No bets will be accepted via fax or email and should bets be received through such mediums, they will be classed as void immaterial of whether they win or lose.
  8. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate our clients, SMS2BET Betting Services reserves the right to refuse or limit any bet.
  9. No bet may be cancelled, changed, or modified by the bettor, in any way, once it has been received and accepted by SMS2BET Betting Services
  10. Bets on the website and phone bets are only accepted as valid bets, placed according to these rules, once a transaction code / ticket has been logged in the SMS2BET Betting Services online server. If you have any doubts as to whether a bet is valid, you should view your pending bets. Once a transaction code / ticket has been logged, bets may not be cancelled under any circumstance. It is therefore imperative that customers understand that it is their responsibility to ensure that the details of bets are correct. In the event of any dispute, both the customer and SMS2BET Betting Services agree that the transaction log database will act as the final authority in determining the outcome of such dispute.
  11. All winnings shall be credited to the winning customer's account only.
  12. Account balances are the responsibility of the client and should be checked at every opportunity.
  13. In the event that funds are credited to a customer's account in error, it is incumbent upon the customer to notify SMS2BET Betting Services of the error without delay. Unless notified of the error SMS2BET Betting Services may cancel any transactions resulting from the error.
  14. SMS2BET Betting Services reserves the right to correct errors where our employees may clearly have made a blatant mistake; in the case of any price related error a general market average will be used. SMS2BET Betting Services reserves the right to cancel any bet taken at a blatantly wrong price.
  15. SMS2BET Betting Services shall in no way, under any circumstances, be liable for any damages or losses, including without limitation, direct, indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages deemed or alleged to have resulted from or caused by the present website or its content, including without limitation any persons use or misuse of its content, the inability of any person to use the site, delays in operation or transmission, communication line failure, or any errors or omissions in content.
  16. Whilst every effort is made to carry out the correct information, we do not accept responsibility for any errors and / or omissions that may occur.
  17. When our staff repeat the odds and the event to the client it is the responsibility of the client to make sure that the information given is understood correctly.
  18. In the interests of staff and clients, all telephone calls will be recorded and this recording shall used to settle all wagering disputes. If any dispute cannot be settled satisfactorily between SMS2BET Betting Services management and the client, the matter shall be referred to a representative of the Western Cape gambling board for final determination and all wagers will be adjusted accordingly.
  19. Disputes regarding account balances and betting transaction disputes must be lodged within fourteen (14) days from the date the wager in question. No claims will be honoured after this time period. The client is solely responsible for their account transactions.
  20. Each client is wholly responsible for the secrecy of his betting account and password. And the client should make every effort to prevent the use of the personal account number by any third party, as any transactions entered into where the account holder's number has been given to effect a wager, shall stand as bona fide transactions dependent only upon the current balance of the account.
  21. In the event that a customer suspects that a third party may have their password or username, the customer may at anytime ask that SMS2BET Betting Services to provide the customer with a new password and username.
  22. Any bets accepted in error (ie) After the event has been completed, shall be declared void. Any bets placed after the start of the event will be declared void. In the event of a bet being declared void then multiples including that leg will stand with that void leg being excluded from the multiple with the outcome of the multiple decided on the result of the remaining legs. In the event of a dispute over the time at which a bet was placed, the time recorded in the SMS2BET Betting Services Online transaction log will be the determining factor.
  23. If a match is called off in running and the outcome is postponed to a later date then SMS2BET Betting Services's decision on whether bets should be voided or carried forward to the later date will be final.
  24. If any 'dispute' is not able to be resolved between the client and SMS2BET Betting Services, the dispute will be settled by the bookmakers association and then the Western Cape gambling board.
  25. SMS2BET Betting Services reserves the right to cancel or modify any special or promotion offered, at any time without notice. If at anytime, it is deemed by management, the spirit and intention of the promotion is violated or abused then SMS2BET Betting Services reserves the right to refuse the account or withdraw the bonus at their discretion. Any bonus received by a client must be turned over completely before withdrawal of such a bonus
  26. Information and details gained with regard to any betting transaction are strictly confidential and no employee of SMS2BET Betting Services may divulge such information unless in the course of duty.
  27. Staff who offer any advice on betting or assistance to a customer in the completion of the betting slip or issue of any bet in accordance with these rules, shall not be liable for failure to comply with requirements of such a customer, nor shall any claim lie against SMS2BET Betting Services.
  28. Rules pertaining to bets placed over the phone All telephone calls will be recorded for the protection of the customers and this recording will be used to settle disputes. A customer must have an active account with necessary funds in the account to place a bet over the phone. After placing a bet over the phone SMS2BET Betting Services shall orally confirm what he has keyed in and obtain authority from the customer to transmit the bet to the system. If the customer does not query or rectify the oral confirmation of the bet he is deemed to have accepted the details as called back by SMS2BET Betting Services as being correct and becomes bound by the call back.
  29. The customer should not have any claim of any nature against SMS2BET Betting Services and/or any of its employees arising from a failure to accept his/her bets because of delays caused by breakdown of the telephone system and/or other telecommunication system for whatsoever reason.
  30. Bets can only be accepted whilst the approved wagering system is operative.
  31. A customer shall immediately notify SMS2BET Betting Services should he lose his account details.
  32. No betting transaction or withdrawal from an account is permitted unless the customer provides his account number or any detail required by SMS2BET Betting Services.
  33. SMS2BET Betting Services shall not be liable for any loss incurred by a customer due to unauthorized use of his account.
  34. SMS2BET Betting Services reserves the right to terminate the customers contract with immediate effect at its sole discretion. The customer shall not have any claim whatsoever of any nature against SMS2BET Betting Services arising out of lawful cancellation of such an account other than to claim a refund of the money outstanding to the credit of his account. Pending bets at the time of account termination shall stand and be honoured.
  35. If a customer has not made a transaction with his betting account held with SMS2BET Betting Services, the customer will lose claim to his money after a period of 2 years. The money shall be forfeited by the customer to SMS2BET Betting Services and declared as income.
